Marine Circulars

Mongolia Marine circulars are issued and updated regularly to inform the shipping communities of Mongolia Ship Registry's Policy and national requirements pertaining to marine safety issues and other related matters as a supplement to that which, are not otherwise addressed in details by the Mongolia Maritime Regulations, rules and Sea Exploitation Law.

SUBJECT:     Notice

 

This letter draws the attention of the shipping community to United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2375 (2017) article 11 which was pass on 22 December 2017 UNSCR 2375 imposes new sanctions and expands the scope of the existing sanction against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

 

All Ship owners, ship managers, and shipmasters of Mongolia Ship, and all other individuals or entities to comply fully with UNSCR 2375 (2017) please refer to the link for the complete resolution: http://unscr.com/en/resolutions/2375

 

Please be reminded that in accordance with Section 43 of the Merchant Shipping Act (Cap. 179), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore may cancel its certificate of registration for any contravention of any applicable UNSCR.

SUBJECT:     UN Sanctioned Areas

 

     Mongolia Ship Registry would like to draw your attention to the United Nation General Assembly Resolution A/RES/68/262 of 27 March 2017, Ukraine closed the seaports in the cities of Feodosiya (UN/LOCODE – UASFEO), Kerch (UAKEH), Sevastopol (UASVP), Yalta (UAYAL) and Yevpatoriya (UAZKA) starting from 15 July 2014.

 

     Please note that in regards to the above UN Resolution vessels that are registered under the Mongolian flag must comply. Any vessels that does not comply with the above UN Resolutions Mongolia Ship Registry has the right to terminate vessel’s registration.
